March 27, 2025 | The U.S. government has recently introduced higher tariffs on imported vehicles and auto parts, which could lead to price changes on future Volkswagen models. If you’re in the market for a new VW, now is the ideal time to buy at Volkswagen of Fairfield, before these changes take effect.

How the New Auto Tariffs Affect Volkswagen Vehicles

As of March 26, 2025, an additional 25% tariff has been placed on foreign-built cars and auto parts, bringing the total import tax to 27.5%. Since many Volkswagen models—such as the ID.4, Tiguan, and Golf GTI—are produced in Germany and Mexico, future pricing may reflect these adjustments.

Why Buying a Volkswagen Now is a Smart Move

For now, Volkswagen of Fairfield’s current inventory remains at its existing pricing, but as new shipments arrive, prices could be impacted.

We’re working closely with Volkswagen of America to ensure our customers get the best possible pricing and incentives before any potential increases take effect.

  • March – April: Prices remain unchanged on available and allocated vehicles.
  • May and beyond: Future Volkswagen models may see pricing updates as new tariffs take effect.

How to Lock in the Best Volkswagen Pricing

If you’re considering a Jetta, Atlas, Taos, or ID.4, here’s how to make sure you get the best deal:
