Additional DetailsThe Bay Area Air Quality Management District provides incentives of up to $9,500 for low-income Bay Area residents to retire their qualified operating and registered 1996 or older vehicle and replace it with a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, Battery-Electric, or to get a Clipper Card for public transit. Applicants must have an annual household income less than or equal to 400 percent of the federal poverty level to be eligible.
